27 Weeks
I am now 27 weeks and I so don't feel pregnant enough to be "27 weeks." I don't know why, but I just don't. But here is a picture of me.
Our little girl is about 2 pounds (think of a head of cauliflower).
She is moving regularly, except she loves to play peek-a-boo with daddy. Everytime she starts moving, I tell Adam and he tries to feel her. The only problem is that immediately when he touches my stomach she is still. I think she knows when someone even barely touches my stomach because she stops moving. I just don't get it. I hope she isn't this stubborn when she is born. I guess we will have to wait and see!

A Day at the Beach Cut Short
On Friday a few of us decided to take off to the beach for a few hours. The great thing about living here is the beach is only about an hour away, so you can pick up and go whenever you would like.
So Adam, Cameron, Katie, Mom, and I all went. We had a great time. Adam and Cameron were playing in the water most of the time, while Katie, Mom and I laid on the beach talking about everything. It was a great time to relax and enjoy the company. I even got a little sun. I do mean a LITTLE by the way. I put sunscreen EVERYWHERE because I am ghostly white. Well, I thought I put sunscreen EVERYWHERE, but I kinda forgot the top of my feet. They got fried, but everywhere else was fine. Oh well, you live and learn.
Here are a few pictures of us hanging out.

Adam and Cameron are out there in the water.
After only a few hours (we were planning on staying an hour or 2 longer) the sky became dark and a storm moved in very quickly. We packed up and took off for the car. I guess we should be grateful for the rain here in NC since we are struggling for water right now.
We had a great time!

Talk about a GREAT DEAL!
So it is wonderful to come home and know basically everyone around! I absolutely love how wonderful people are here.
I know people in the South have the reputation of being nice, but I am just amazed at how generous people are. A lady in my ward who I have known forever found out I was pregnant a while ago and called my mom to ask if I needed/wanted anything for the baby. She told her that she has so much stuff and wanted me to get what I needed. So last night I went to her house to look at what she was wanting to, as she put it, "get out of her house". There was SOOO much. Her sister who is also through with kids brought over a swing and car seat for me to look at.
I was amazed at what they had to offer. Then the best/ most amazing news...she said if you want it, just take it all for one price. And by one price...it was only $80!!!!! You can't get anything for $80!!!!!! The swing that her sister brought over was given to me for free!
So here is a look at all the fun goodies I got.
Here is a closer look at that bassinet. It has only been used a VERY FEW times and looks BRAND NEW!
I am just so excited. Then today I got a call from her sister to go to her house tomorrow evening to look at everything that she has. This includes her baby clothes. She has a little girl and has all of her clothes from 0-18 months. Plus a pack-n-play and other things to look at.
WHAT A BLESSING!!!
Now we just have to figure out how to get this all back out to Utah. Adam has a lot of taking apart and putting back together he is going to have to do.
We are also taking back my mom's crib, changing table, and dresser that we used when we were little. I am so excited for all the generosity I am receiving!

26 Weeks
This week I am 26 weeks along. I can't believe really how fast this is flying by. I will be in my 3rd trimester soon! HOW CRAZY!!!!!!
So here is my picture.
This is one of the really cute shirts my mom bought me when I came home for the summer.
But this week my baby is 14 inches long. I don't know what food to compare it to this week, so oh well! But our little girl is getting so big! YAY!
Mining for Emeralds
Well, we did end up going to the mountains to go emerald mining! It was such a blast. My dad took Adam, me, Tyler (my brother) and his fiance Lauren. We had such a good time. This isn't really my mom's thing so she stayed home as well as Chad and Katie (who just drove across the country and arrived the evening before we left) and Cameron who just didn't want to go.
We all found some fun things and I even found a fun emerald I am having cut so I can mount it in a piece of jewelry. Sorry, I didn't get a picture of the rock...I should have, but I will take a picture when I get it back, which could be 6 months from now!
The trip was really long, and we did get a little dirty, but what a great time to spend with family!!!
Enjoy the pictures!
Here is Dad in the Lapidary where they look at your gems and tell you if they can cut it or not.
Here is me in front of the Lapidary before we got started!
Adam, Tyler, and Lauren all working away to find their treasure.

Tyler on his search.
Lauren standing up...she was into this whole finding gems thing!

Catching Up
I started this blog once and something happened and it disappeared, so lets try again.
Sorry I have not been blogging as much now that I am in NC. I just feel like I don't have a lot of time to just sit and blog. So let me catch you up on what has been going on here.
I am now working at Dad's office part time just to make a little extra money.
Adam is still working and enjoying his internship with LCC!
We just went on a great trip to NJ to see Adam's family for the weekend. It was great to spend time with them. It is just weird to go up there without tons of people being there. Their home is getting empty. There are only 2 girls left at home (instead of all 6 kids).
On Friday we went to NYC while the girls were in school. We had a great time just walking the streets. The only sad thing is Adam wouldn't let me take pictures. I tried to take one on the train in and he got embarrassed. He laughed and said "You look like a tourist, please don't take pictures." He is from the area, so he didn't want to look like an outsider. I just wanted a couple pictures for my blog, but the ones I took didn't turn out. SAD!
We just spent the rest of the weekend playing games and hanging out with the family.
It is so much nicer to be able to just drive up there without making plans months in advance and finding plane tickets etc.
This week Katie and Chad are getting here (they are driving right now somewhere in the midwest). It will be a full house here, but will be fun!
That is about all that is going on right now.
I think we are driving to the western part of the state this weekend to go emerald mining. I will have to write about that later.
I am also way behind on my weekly picture...I promise it is coming soon.
So there is your catch on my life!

Ruby Tuesday
Well, yesterday I was able to go out with a couple of people who I have not seen in forever. I have a lot of "lunch dates" with everyone who wants to go out, so I began these dates yesterday. I went to Ruby Tuesday's with my mom, Nana, Lyla, and Loni Anne. Lyla and Loni Anne are just a small part of my Tongan family here in Kinston! We had a blast. I feel like whenever we get back together we haven't missed anything. We just catch right back up and everything is like it used to be. I have such a fun time with them. Lyla was my Young Women's President (if you don't know what that means it is basically when you turn 12 in our church you go from Primary the sunday school for kids to the sunday school for teenagers. And for part of the sunday school you meet with just girls or just boys and then you all get together...so that would be Young Womens.) Loni Anne is like 1 1/2 years younger than me and we have always been close. I am so proud of her because she is going on a mission for our church soon. She is just waiting to find out where she is going. YAY LONI ANNE!!!!!!!
Well here are a few pictures of us at lunch.
Also, I was able to go for a quick time with one of my best friends from High School. Jenna Jaye and I went to Rightway to just hang out and talk for a while. We had a great time catching up and I can't wait to see her more this summer. The only problem with that is that she has now moved down to the beach (as of today) and there is no telling when she will be around. But oh well.
I will have to catch you up soon on everything else that is going on here in NC. It will have to wait though because Adam and I are heading to NJ today to spend the weekend with his family!
24 weeks
I am sorry I am so late with my weekly picture, but I am trying to catch up now.
Here is me at 24 weeks and I definitely am VERY pregnant.
Our little girl is the size of an ear of corn and weighs over a pound!
