A Little Racing Heart

I had been so excited for February 27. This was the day of my first "real" doctors appointment. I was 10 weeks along and the doctor told me she would be listening for the baby's heartbeat. Well, Adam came with me and we were both so excited. The doctor tried and tried but we just couldn't find a heartbeat. The doc told me not to worry because it was still a little early to hear the heartbeat. Even though I heard those words, worry still was sneaking in. What if something was wrong?
She told me to come back in 2 weeks and at that point if we didn't hear a heartbeat we would do an ultrasound to make sure things are ok. Well, Adam and I went to the doctor yesterday and lo and behold we heard the most amazing sound EVER!!!!! It was a little racing heart! I couldn't believe my ears. At that point I looked at Adam and said "See there really is a baby in there." He continued to joke that I was making the whole thing up just so I could pretend to be sick and so he would take care of me!
So this is our first really cool experience being a part of a developing baby! I can't wait for everything else that is in store.
And yes, I am still nauseous. I just hope it ends SOON!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't it amazing? I am so excited for you. PS- As soon as your feet hit the floor every morning EAT! If you aren't hungry still make yourself eat something. This helped with my "morning"/all day sickness :-)

Amazing-huh? And that is the defining moment. The one that makes you stop and think. This is for real. I am having a baby!
Congratulations on hearing one of the greatest sounds you will ever hear. (next to the sounds of a baby sleeping)
